welcome

Welcome to The Mobile Vet Company, a veterinary service based in Sheffield, bringing all your pet’s needs to your front door. Established in 2018 by Jess Welburn MRCVS, we provide consultations for your pets in the comfort of their own home. By choosing us you will avoid all the stresses that may come with a visit to the vets. Our service is ideal for pets (and owners) who get anxious going to the vets, multi-pet households, and people who may struggle with transport. We provide a variety of services including health checks, vaccinations, microchipping, blood tests for routine medications, poorly pet consultations, and end of life care.

The Mobile Vet Company covers Sheffield, Chesterfield, Dronfield, parts of Hope Valley, and many places in between. If you are not in these areas but would like a visit, please do contact us to see if we can help. We look forward to hearing from you.

Register with us

All you need to do is use our contact form or give us a call to get in touch. We will then ask a few simple questions about you and your pet. Registering with us does not cost anything.

make an appointment

We will arrange an appointment at a time convenient to you. We have a small but growing team of vets and nurses, meaning we are usually able to find an appointment that suits you within a day or two. We try and leave a little spare capacity every day to accommodate more urgent care. This means that same day appointments are usually available to those most in need. Appointments for routine care e.g. vaccinations, can be booked well in advance. The base cost of an appointment with The Mobile Vet is £60.

Your appointment

An experienced team consisting of a veterinary surgeon and a veterinary nurse will visit you and your pet at home. We travel to you in specially equipped vans stocked with a huge range of medications and veterinary equipment. We pride ourselves in giving your pet the very best care and feel this is best achieved in their home, where they feel most relaxed. An appointment will usually last around 20 minutes, but for more complex cases we may request that the appointment runs a little longer. We like to make sure your pet is offered the highest level of service and that as the owner, you are given a detailed explanation of our findings, recommendations and treatment plan.

after your appointment

Every case is different, but we hold ourselves to a very high standard and consider our follow up care to be as important as the appointment itself. We will be in touch to deliver any laboratory test results as soon as we have them, talk you through treatment plans, answer any questions you have and arrange follow up appointments where necessary.

You couldn’t meet a more expert, competent vet who delivers her help with the utmost empathy and professionalism. No problem is too small. They go above and beyond to deliver the right support for your pets. I have recommended their services to many friends and their experiences have all been resoundingly the same.
